A path that continues…in life
The journey of formation is not just something that, of value, only one receives but in which one plays, entirely, as a true trans-formative experience of life.
To live according to the form of the Gospel is for us fmGB – as Pope Francis reminds us – to live our discipleship journey prophetically, in fraternity, proclaiming the joy of the Gospel and its fruitfulness to all, with life and words.
Here is how the journey of discipleship in the Francescane Missionarie di Gesù Bambino continues:
Postulancy:
with a simple and meaningful rite, the girls are welcomed into the fraternity to continue their discipleship journey. They experience our life, sharing its daily life of prayer, relationships and mission.
They are accompanied in a special way by a sister responsible for this stage with whom they have the opportunity to continue their discernment.
Novitiate:
It is the next step of those who feel the Lord’s invitation to continue in this discernment, in the increasingly free and conscious confrontation between their own life, the Lord’s promise, their own desires and our life as FMGB.
An important time in which familiarity with Jesus becomes a strong need, capable of sustaining the dimension of service and gift to the brothers and sisters.
Iuniorate:
This is the stage of those who, at the end of the novitiate, have chosen to consecrate themselves to the Lord through the simple profession of the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, in our FMGB family.
During this time, a fundamental part of the journey is the sharing of the life and mission of our fraternities, which, together with a commitment to theological and professional formation, supports the steps of discernment toward the final decision of perpetual profession.
