IYesterday, May 5, Sunday, the Capitolari went up to Monte de La Verna. We were led to enter the mystery of love and pain that St. Francis experienced on this holy mountain. Sr. Simona Barbara introduced the day through an itinerary of prayer to prepare us to receive the plenary indulgence as pilgrims in this special centenary year. We also visited places in the Sanctuary accompanied by Fr. Paolo Fantaccini OFM. Before the morning ends, we participated in the Eucharistic Celebration where Fr. Guido Fineschi OFM, Custos of La Verna, together with all the friars of the community, gave us a warm and fraternal welcome.
It was a day that allowed each one to be immersed and be renewed by the beauty and grace of this place. We bring with us the light and the message of our Seraphic Father who, in this place, allowed himself to be marked by the Love that saves.
